The Schulz Group, comprised of Maine Industrial Repair Services (MIRS), Schulz Electric, Schulz Nuclear, and Stultz Electric provides small to large industrial electric motor and generator repairs, custom controls and panels, switchgear, systems integration, machine rebuilds, hydro services, safety-related services, and diagnostics, including Infrared Thermography and Vibration Analysis & Vibration Trending, as well as gearbox repair and overhaul.

In 2014, Schulz was acquired by The Timken Company, and is now a part of Timken Power Systems. This has positioned Schulz Group in general, and Maine Industrial Repairs Services in particular to create a powerful solution for customers’ rotating equipment problems.

Maine Industrial Repair Services, located in Augusta, Maine, is an industry leader in HYDRO repair services and a full service industrial motor and generator repair facility capable of overhauling motors or generators up to and exceeding 5,000 horsepower. Maine Industrial Repair Services also provides Electrical Power Testing, Metal Stitching, CO2 Cleaning, Field Work and Diagnostics, as well as Complete Maintenance Programs and EL CID Testing. Additionally, MIRS now offers gearbox repair, upgrade and testing as part of its total powertrain solution.
